Alright, kids. In honor of the new year, I set a resolution. I set a resolution to blog more. It's not going to be every day. It's not going to be every week. Heck, it might not even be every month. But, by golly it'll be more than the semi-annual posts I've been writing. I just can't really get into this. I take a lot of pictures. I do. But I just can't find the time to sit down and write about mine and Log's daily activites. However, I did get some new photo editing software that just might help get me in the spirit. :)
I'll just brief you on the last 6 months of our lives..... We're still in Denver.
That's it!
Ok, there's actually more of a story than that. Last June, Logan was laid off from Headwaters MB, the investment bank he was working for. We weren't exactly sure what our plans were after that. Should we move to Utah? Should we move to Idaho? We didn't know what to do. Time was flying and our lease was almost up at our apartment downtown. So we knew we had to make a decision stat. I was currently working for a maid service in the tech center and drove past these really cute townhouses every day. Log and I thought we'd drive down and have a look and see how much these babies would be to live in. Turns out, they were about $700 dollars cheaper than what we had been paying downtown! Hallelujah! And they were bigger! And they had a garage! AND a full size washer AND dryer! Whooduhlolly. We were home. We signed a contract and moved in as soon as was humanly possible.
We decided to try and stay in Denver and make it work here as long as we can. Currently, I am still with the maid service but am now their Office Manager. It's so great. And the best part is that my office is in a really tall business building across the street from where we now live. Since we only have one car, this situation is ideal. I just wake up and walk across the street. It's like a dream come true. Logan is working as a personal trainer for 24 hour fitness. He loves it and loves getting to work out 24/7. He also just got another job doing some consulting with a company out of Salt Lake City, Granada Advisors. It's perfect for him because he can work from home when he is not at the gym.
Needless to say, things worked out for us pretty well! We were a little unsure what would happen after he got laid off, but we've been put in this great situation that has helped us out SO much. We feel so lucky and blessed to have such great friends and family who have helped support us through such a difficult time. Thanks to all of you!!!
Now, I'm just going to go ahead and post some pics over the last several months that we've taken. We had a really long Christmas break (thanks to our new jobs!) but I didn't take any pictures really. Oh well! Better luck next year.
